GROUP MEETING ACTIVITY

It’s crucial to get input from other!!!

In class today, we studied each others blog postings, as well as gave each other advice/recommendations pertaining to our ideas. For my project specifically, I believe this meeting was needed, due to the fact that not only are my peers extremely helpful and insightful, but also because they fit the age of my targeted audience. That is why I wanted to hear back from them to know if all my components were form fitting and intriguing. Beginning with myself, I shared my blog url, along with my elaboration of what Mari and I have planned and ideated for our short film. I summarized most of my blogs and they viewed the postings as I spoke. 

After presenting my short film promo, I received very positive and helpful feedback. They all agreed that it was the kind of film that would match my target audience, and that the films concept was adorable. The only element pertaining to the film concept that was critiqued, was the fact that the beginning of the film didn’t match our current idea of the end. We were planning on closing the sequence when Nati found out Howie had a girlfriend, however Male Ojeda brought to y attention that the ending of the film doesn’t match the end. “Why are you going to start it of her looking at the picture ?” And  “Does it correlate?” I thought to myself, how can I make the beginning significant? Then I thought of the idea to make the beginning of the film where she looks at the photo her many years later, when she’s either at her job or at university. Although it would signify her reminiscing without doing either of the things mentioned above, using setting and mis-en-scene elements would make the intention more clear. 

Besides this, there wasn’t much improvement suggestions said about my pitch, every other component and element was really enjoyed! HAPPY NATI 😄

I really enjoyed this activity as I gave out and received informational advice to/from my peers in order for us to achieve the highest potential we can. I’m excited for my projects progression, as well as my peers!
